Survivor Awards Singapore
Every year, there were people who suffered an Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) in Singapore, a potentially lethal emergency if victims are not attended to in time. Whether they are in a park, pool, or in the privacy of their own home, the difference between life and death for many of these people can be a matter of minutes and if a bystander takes action to help them. To celebrate those who played a vital role in resuscitating cardiac arrest victims, the Unit for Pre-hospital Emergency Care (UPEC) will be holding the annual Survivor Awards Singapore ceremony to recognise their outstanding efforts.
Survivors of cardiac arrest and their families will be invited to the Survivor Awards Singapore ceremony to show their appreciation for those who helped to resuscitate them. The rescuers who had performed bystander CPR or defibrillation, dispatchers who had initiated the dispatcher-assisted CPR and/or firefighters and paramedics involved in the resuscitation will receive a certificate of commendation and appreciation for their life-saving efforts.
