Overview

PEC Data, Analysis and Implementation team supports evidence generation that aims to support and implement practical evidence-based interventions to improve survival outcomes for victims suffering from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Our work currently focuses on various aspects of OHCA such as survival outcomes, and the impact of advanced technologies on EMS and bystander response time and compression quality performed by community first responders.
The team collaborates with local and overseas stakeholders to carry out pilot projects and collects essential data for analysis. We identify trends, evaluate performance metrics such as compression quality, and discover opportunities for improvement in pre-hospital care specifically for cardiac arrest.
The team produces an annual OHCA data report that is disseminated widely. It contains OHCA data for over a decade. Data points include OHCA burden data, bystander CPR/AED response rates and survival outcomes data such as Utstein survival rate and the rate of OHCA survival-to-discharge. Annual reports can be found under "Resources".
